My Thoughts:

Who would have thought that Rook Walsh's life would change when she stepped into Antoine Chaput's studio and become Tragic's model? Before , she was homeless , scared and running away from her abusive boyfriend. Left with no money, Rook accepted this job... be an erotic model! Of course, it means baring your goodies in front of the cam! First thing that came into my mind ...looks like porno?? But according to Antoine, it's artfully done. Yeah right.. If you think getting grope and touch by some guy barely know is a form of art?! Instead of running for the door...Rook...accepted the offer.

The camera loves Rook. She is a natural! Rook is Tragic.

There is something raw and beautiful in her. Just perfect for the Tragic campaign. Antoine Chaput knows that. And Ronin knows it. Hmmm, well, well, who is Ronin? Ronin shares the same gorgeous blue eyes like Rook. And those gorgeous blues go well with his gorgeous , sculpted, well-defined body! I can't help but to check them out! Hah! Ronin takes care of all Anton's models ... most specially the new Tragic face..Rook! When I say take care... It's really taking care.. like providing everything a model needs! Clothes..food..All you have to say : "I belong to Ronin.." See???? It sounds sexy?! And I imagine Ronin to be looking like this:

Oh my! Those sexy sexy baby blues! I'd say( or shout!) I BELONG TO RONIN! (Anytime!) I wanna have your babies..now!!! Ooooops! Get hold of yourself! I told myself. Haha. But then, Rook has a different reaction, she doesn't want to "belong to Ronin" . She doesn't want to feel like that. She does not want to feel "owned" and controlled like her abusive ex. Yes, Rook has issues. She was raised on foster homes. No family. No one to rely on but herself. Everything was a daze when Ronin's sister took her into their studio and offered a home in exchange for the photoshoots.

Photo shoots. Sexy photo shoots with Ronin! He took care of Rook... pretty damn well! I'd say it was the the sexiest photo sessions I've ever read and seen (on my mind!) ! The behind the scene is even hotter!! *fanning myself like I'm about to faint any minute now! Ronin's kisses and touch set Rook on fire! Every nerve ending on her body responded like Ronin owns her! But they're in front of the flashing camera?! Is it still for show or for real? ...looks real to me!

The chemistry between these two is exploding! Both are clearly all over each other on and off cam! I love how the author wrote those sensual moments...it's tastefully written ..not dirty. There is definitely something. ..and it's more intense than attraction and goes beyond just lust! Yes, it made me blush ...like a lot! ( like right now?!) haha. And Ronin... can do the sexy talks effortless...and so effective, I got shivers all over my body! *gasp! *panty drops! Haha.

“Oh, Miss Walsh, I plan on doing many more things to you tonight, but most of all, when I finally get you back to my apartment and into my bed, I plan on making you whimper into my neck, begging me to make you come.”

“I'd crush your mouth with kisses right now if I thought I could get away with smearing your lipstick.”

So what's stopping them? Apparently, both have their issues. Ronin does not date his models. Well, not until Rook. Because Rook is different. And he wants Rook so bad. He wants to take good care of this lost girl... but then Rook sees it in not so good way. For her, this means being controlled. She does not want it... But she wants Ronin. Clearly , a tough choice to make!

I have mixed emotions over Rook's struggles. I hate her hasty decisions. She acts on impulse...jumping on conclusions and running away?! And when she was offered another contract Sturgis, she signed it out of what?! Out of jealousy! Yes, when she saw Ronin with another girl?! Immaturity! Gah! But then, I still can't help but to admire this girl. She knows want she wants. And she clearly sticks with it no matter what. Headstrong and bad ass, I can say. And I think the ones that you need to stay alive in this cut throat modelling world.

“Yeah, well, I'm used to disappointment, so no big deal. If it doesn't work, I'll move on and do something else. I might be young, but I've learned a few good lessons in my day.”

“What lessons, Rook?"

"Don't rely on anyone to get what you want. You just gotta go get it yourself.”

The ending is good ...but I still kinda waiting for something more? It's like the story was cut short abruptly? There's a very good potential for this story to develop. I was really , really hoping for something big to happen... like I'm still waiting for both Ronin and Rook to say the "L-word" ?! Which I have not seen?? Or did I just missed it?! Noooooooo! *tries to read backwards?! uh-oh. Now I want to read the sequel!
