A Review : Sweetest Venom by Mia Asher

Sweetest Venom (Virtue, #2)

From Goodreads:

Love is the sweetest venom.

Lawrence
I told her I wanted her body and not her love.
I lied.

Ronan
I fell in love with a lie...
She was beauty and destruction.
Kissing her was a tender song.
Owning her body, a wild poem.
Loving her, my downfall.
But she was mine.
Or so I thought.

Blaire
One man offer me his love.
The other, the world.
'm falling, falling, falling ...
And there's no end in sight.

                                  My Thoughts:

"Sweetest Venom" was one of the ( amongst many , many! ) books on my highly anticipated release this year. I even  followed ( aka stalked ?? hee hee! ) Mia Asher for updates just to ease out my anxiety ( which was not helping at all??? ) until it becomes available. ( at looong last!! )

It did not take me long  before I dove into the story... right into the lives of Blaire , Ronan and Lawrence. Yes, it was a love triangle , which  means I had to choose which team to ship for eventually. Myyyyy! Believe me, it was hard to choose between Roblaire ( Ronan-Blaire) and  Lawblaire ??? ( Lawrence-Blaire)  The alternate POV's even made it tougher as  I got to be inside their heads ??? Both Ronan and Lawrence were perfect for Blaire in their own ways. It was really hard to choose!

Annnnd much harder for our dear Blaire!   But a girl has got to choose, right??

Let me present the two contenders for Blaire's heart:

             RONAN

"....To be your oxygen Blaire, as you become mine. Like you said --- forever. And one day I'm going to get you to say yes.. "

----Awww! Be your oxygen ...and forever??? My gawd! If this two words won't make you melt , I don't know what will??

              LAWRENCE

" ... I want you ---you Blaire! Can't you see? I fucking love you!"
"...To love you is to self- destruct, Blaire, but I seem unable to stop."

----Self - destruct... unable to stop???

 TOUGH. CHOICE .INDEED.

I love how those scenes were written. I can easily picture it  out and  actually feel all that heavy emotions . How conflicted must Blaire be?  To be torn between two loves? And eventually choose?

I'm glad for Blaire's decision in the end. It made me cry ( both happy and sad tears ) but I know it was the best decision. Everything was set right. There was closure (sob. sob.. )and a hopeful  beginning ( happy tears!). It was just perfect!

Overall, LOOOOOOOOOOVED this book  and Mia Asher? LOOOOOOOOOVED you more!

                                    My Rating:
                  5 full of feels stars
