My Review: Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick

Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2)
From Goodreads:
Nora Grey's life is still far from perfect. Surviving an attempt on her life wasn't pleasant, but at least she got a guardian angel out of it. A mysterious, magnetic, gorgeous guardian angel. But despite his role in her life, Patch has been acting anything but angelic. He's more elusive than ever (if that's possible) and what's worse, he seems to be spending time with Nora's archenemy, Marcie Millar.

Nora would have hardly noticed Scott Parnell, an old family friend who has moved back to town, if Patch hadn't been acting so distant. Even with Scott's totally infuriating attitude, Nora finds herself drawn to him - despite her lingering feelings that he is hiding something.

If that weren't enough, Nora is haunted by images of her murdered father, and comes to question whether her Nephilim bloodline has anything to do with his death. Desperate to figure out what happened, she puts herself in increasingly dangerous situations to get the answer. But maybe some things are better left buried, because the truth could destroy everything - and everyone - she trusts.

                My Thoughts:

Reading this book I've experienced all my senses gone whacko!  Yes! Uncontrollable! Like you wish you can tell your heart to calm down ...but it keeps on hammering against your ribcage?! You wanted to at least scream yet all you can do is gasp? You can't breathe. Your hands sweaty. And all you want to do is to cover your eyes... But wait?! I am reading a book, right?!

Yes! Crescendo is like a suspense- thriller movie ...in a book! The pages are screaming "go get something , grab something and brace  yourself coz shit is about to happen!"

When I say that this book was unputdownable , I mean : you want to hold on to it no matter what you do! I even read it while eating breakfast, lunch and dinner?! Again, unputdownable.

I love love everything about this book! It was fast paced,  totally unpredictable from beginning to end and  constantly throwing you questions that will make you more than to know the answer. It will make you question anything, everything and heck ! it will make you doubt  and become suspicious at the same time!

And Patch? Oh that PATCH?!  The sexiest , annoying yet lovable fallen angel turned Nora's Guardian Angel?! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE  him, I swear!  I mean, what's NOT to love???
When he says something (and do something like this?! Yay! ) :

" You're mine, Angel." he murmured , brushing the words across my jawbone as I arched my neck higher, inviting him to kiss everywhere. " You have me forever.."

" Patch stood over me, and a drop of rain slid from his hair, landing like ice on my collarbone. I felt it slide along my my skin, disappearing beneath the neckline of my shirt. His eyes followed the raindrop, and I begun to quiver on the inside. "

   My reaction????

Hahaha! Yes, makes me feel the opposite of an angel?! Whooops! You can't blame me! If you read this book you'll DEFINITELY agree with me. Oh, you got to read Hush Hush first, since this is the sequel!

I was going to give this book a 5 ...but Nora? Okay....there we go! Nora is soooo annoying!  First time I really got annoyed with a heroine! I understand the "damsels in distress" thing...in fact, I have no problem with it. But Nora? She is the damsel who always puts herself in distress! I am in the verge of throwing her pebbles....that gradually turned into rocks as big as my fist! I don't know what's her thing, but she always put herself in danger! And she refused  Patch to be her guardian angel?! And worse, broke up with him??!! Yes, broke up with Patch! WTH?????  That's the last thing she should do when someone/something powerful and very evil was after her life???? Ahhhhhh Nora, you are soo stubborn!

Well, that stubbornness seemed to lead to more trouble as she discovered a shocking truth about herself...about who she really was! Then... non stop , adrenaline pumping action! Like Nora, I don't even know whom to trust?! I was gripping unto my e reader... and waiting... that agonizing wait till the big bomb finally drop! It was torture ...and strange?! I love, love the feeling!

Just when, I am about to have breathe normally .... Just when I thought they are at least away from danger ( as for now? ) ....KA-Boooom!!  What the hell is happening?!!! Ohhhhh ...Nooooooooooo!!

Then . The. Major. Cliffhanger.  OMG!!!! What can be more devastating than to give your reader something like that?!! I demand an explanation, Ms. Becca Fitzpatrick?!You ruined me!!!!

After a few minutes of breathing slowly...one...two ..three.. "Calm down " ...I told myself.  Go grab the next book! Will definitely be reading the next one. I just hope * closes my eyes* there's more Patch next time!

                      I'm giving this book:
4 can't EVER put it down stars!

My Review : Waiting on You by Kristan Higgins

Waiting On You (Blue Heron, #3)
From Goodreads:
Colleen O'Rourke is in love with love... just not when it comes to herself. Most nights, she can be found behind the bar at the Manningsport, New York, tavern she owns with her twin brother, doling out romantic advice to the lovelorn, mixing martinis and staying more or less happily single. See, ten years ago, Lucas Campbell, her first love, broke her heart... an experience Colleen doesn't want to have again, thanks. Since then, she's been happy with a fling here and there, some elite-level flirting and playing matchmaker to her friends.

But a family emergency has brought Lucas back to town, handsome as ever and still the only man who's ever been able to crack her defenses. Seems like maybe they've got some unfinished business waiting for them—but to find out, Colleen has to let her guard down, or risk losing a second chance with the only man she's ever loved.

                      My thoughts :

Heartfelt laughter. Endless giddiness. Limitless swooning. These are just few emotions I've experience while reading this book!  My second book from Ms. Kristan Higgins and this lady became an instant favorite!

She can write and literally put humor in ever single page! I remember having this very huge grin plastered on my face even if I already put down the book. I even chuckle and ( almost ) choke on my coffee when I remember those funny scenes! Yes, that one with Paulie and Bryce?! Cracked me up! ( really bad! ) The people around me thought I was going nuts because I suddenly burst out laughing ( really loud!). Oh, Paulie and Bryce are only the secondary characters! I've not even started with Colleen and Lucas yet! Boy! Ms. Higgins can write really well!

I love all the characters. There is something in each one of them really endearing that will tickle your heart in the most wonderful way. And who would'nt love the heroine, Colleen who's  off charts funny, beautiful and a well-liked bartender in Manningsport? She was a sweetheart. All the ladies looked up at her ( with her love advices and foolproof matchmaking skill?! )  and  all the guys want her! ( pretty, funny, smart! ) ....and she had a twin brother named Connor , ladies!  Yeah! A male version of Colleen! Lucky us?! *grins!*

But Colleen here, had only had her eyes ( and her heart!) wrapped around that  pirate-Spaniard boy who also happens to be her first love ....and who also left her and married another woman?! Yes, that sucked big time. Yes, the culprit, the fallen angel ( Colleen's words! But it works everytime! ) Lucas Damien Campbell left a unfillable , endless hole inside Colleen's heart. She never gotten over that guy. Ever.  Who would  ever forget the guy who gave you all the wonderful firsts in the world?! And no, you don't just forget your first love?! Specially if he's looking something like this: ( yup! It must be the Spaniard thing? One word: Delicious! Haha! ) I Catholic sighed for this guy countless times! Oh! Wait? What exactly is a Catholic sigh?!  Haha!

Well, well, I don't blame you at all, Colleen! Tsk. Tsk. Must be realllly hard, girl! And what could be more harder when after 10 years, this Prince of darkness came barging into Colleen's sleepy town... And divorced ?! Imagine, the unrequited love.....and more passion?! Can Colleen hold on ?! Really hold on when all of her insides screams rip off ! Shred?! ( haha!) all Lucas clothes and jumped over him like a mad dog?!  But, hey..hey! Wait ..wait? Lucas did hurt her, right?

When Lucas'  Uncle Jack requested him to take care for a few things before he dies, he had no choice but to go back to Manningsport and the same time face  Colleen. Old feelings die hard...or shall I say, it never died? The moment he saw her...one thing seems sure, Colleen was his "Mia". Btw, I love the way he called her "Mia" which also means mine?! Awwwww.... This alpha-thingy? Always works wonder to  me! Lucas, I wanna be your Mia!!!

I just love how the author slowly build up the story. How she inserts what happened 10 years ago right in between the present day. It was smoothly written and blends well. It speaks of a deep, passionate, young love put into the test. And because they are young, mistakes ...and not so good decisions were made which ended with both apart. And now, 10 years older..and 10 years wiser? Both Lucas and Colleen have to make a decision. Make it or break it.

Oh I love those "little" interactions between these two! The flirtations...which is not very subtle( at all) ?! Made me very giddy! And I love when Colleen incessantly blabbling around Lucas! My! This girl can really talk! Just adorable!  The funny moments ? Just hilarious!  A lot of LOL just keep on coming! I just love, loved it! Ms. Higgins, you are a genius!

The ending was just perfect! It was my kind of ending. That was a movie moment! I got teary eyed and swooned big time!

"....And there he was, Lucas Damien Campbell, smilling at her . The boy she'd loved from the second she saw him, the man she waited for her whole life, the only one for her, and the sun was shining, and she was laughing, and all was right with the world."

" Colleen...the only thing that's ever really been mine is you."

Me? I swooned....flail ( Catholic sighed) ..melted( Catholic sighed again?!) ..and felt wonderfully elated!   You want to feel all these? You don't need to look far.. Go grab this book, quick! Release date: March 25, 2014.  Promise, this one's a winner!

                   I'm giving this book:

My Review: Deeper by Robin York

Deeper (Caroline & West, #1)
 From Goodreads:
When Caroline Piasecki’s ex-boyfriend posts their sex pictures on the Internet, it destroys her reputation as a nice college girl. Suddenly her once-promising future doesn’t look so bright. Caroline tries to make the pictures disappear, hoping time will bury her shame. Then a guy she barely knows rises to her defense and punches her ex to the ground.

West Leavitt is the last person Caroline needs in her life. Everyone knows he’s shady. Still, Caroline is drawn to his confidence and swagger—even after promising her dad she’ll keep her distance. On late, sleepless nights, Caroline starts wandering into the bakery where West works.

They hang out, they talk, they listen. Though Caroline and West tell each other they’re “just friends,” their feelings intensify until it becomes impossible to pretend. The more complicated her relationship with West gets, the harder Caroline has to struggle to discover what she wants for herself—and the easier it becomes to find the courage she needs to fight back against the people who would judge her.

When all seems lost, sometimes the only place to go is deeper.

***ARC provided by Random House Publishing Group  through Netgalley for an honest review***

                      My Thoughts:
"Deeper" was one of the emotional books I  have read .  I applaud the author, Ms. York for giving us a deeper insight about revenge porn. One click of a picture, one post...few seconds after, it goes viral...and one's particular life was ruined. It's a nightmare to be on that picture...just like what happened to Caroline.

Just one mistake of trusting the wrong person, and her life was drastically changed...ruined. People judged her, called her awful names...it was the most degrading thing she ever experienced. Her supposed to be bright future dimmed and feels doomed.

Instead of  going after her ex boyfriend , she succumbs and blamed herself. This changed Caroline. She was sleeping less, becoming  paranoid , walks with her head low.... Until her face came directly into West's elbow on a fist fight with no other than her douche ex bf, Nate! Not an ideal moment to meet your knight in shining armor, right? Not when you got elbowed in the face?!  Was West defending her honor?  Caroline, deep inside wants to think so...but the other Caroline says West should never do that for her. Because , everybody knows West is bad news.  He is the guy her father warned her to stay clear. He's into brawls...and he's  a drug dealer...he is trouble! West.. same West who gets her all flustered, hitched  a breath, all worked up...was the last person she wants to be right now! Did the stopped her? No..

West does'nt believe in that thing called love.  After witnessing what love did to his  mother.. how his dad used it against her. How he hurt, abused and abandon her, he had a clear goal. Accomplished something no matter what.. No matter how.   Get his mom and sister out from that shit hole. He can't afford any distractions. Caroline is a distraction. But can he stay away from her?

A tormented Caroline and a another tormented West equals a angst ridden love story! So there's a love story? There is ... But did both of them realized that they are getting deeper when they started having this "non-friendship" thing between them? Nope. Not until it directly hit them in the face!

I love their clandestine meetings at the bakeshop. Nothing should be romantic and sexy about making bread, but with West around? It's impossible not to fan myself  when their chemistry was obviously hotter than highest oven temperature!  Boy! It's there! The accidental touching, the subtle glances.. Ooozing! Did they do something about it? Again, nope. The sexual tension was...was frustrating!

So, they just hang out without asking questions. Questions that need honest answers. Answers that would forced them to share a part of them. West knows he was not the the one for her, he got a lot of baggage and  darkness that he would'nt want to drag into. A wise West would stay away ..really away from her. But guess what? He can tell his brain No but the other part of him says he wants to be always be there for her.

I love it when they took it slowly, Specially the "50 minute kisses"! It was the hottest... and breath-taking kisses! And West, West and his kisses?!!!  Just perfect! One of my favorite moments!

Then kisses lead to something more. Then Caroline needs something more. Can West give it to her? Without complications? Without hurting her? Because at the end he has to make a hard choice...between going home and staying with  her.

Caroline will also have to make a choice. To hold on or to let go. At the end of it all, who needs protecting? When things go downward, she should make a stand. I admired Caroline's strength and character when she decided to come out , face and fight.  It was the best decision she ever made.

The ending was just heart breaking. So many feels. That scene at the airport? Totally made me cry. I felt West. I felt Caroline. It was too much. Was it even possible to feel both helpless and hopeful at the same time? That's what West and Caroline's story made me feel. I am definitely looking forward for the sequel!

" I want you and I don't know how to stop wanting you . I want to get deep inside you, and then deeper , until I'm so deep I don't even know what's  me anymore and  what's you. "

" Don't wait for me" , he whispers  and he kisses me again. " I don't want you to wait.."

       I'm giving this book:
4 heart felt, heart melting stars

My Review: Avoiding Amy Jackson by N. A. Alcorn

Avoiding Amy Jackson (Infamous, #2)

From Goodreads:
Meet Amy Jackson. An outspoken, raunchy, in-your-face, loudly inappropriate ER Nurse who makes a career out of indulging.

One-night stands have always been her thing.

Commitment and relationships are two words that are not in her vocabulary.

Amy doesn't have dreams of soul mates and white picket fences. She adamantly refuses to even consider the idea of getting married and starting a family. She’s also obstinate in allowing a certain physician to get on her good side…

James Williams. A cocky, smug, too-damn-good-looking orthopedic surgeon who has his sights set on the very feisty Amy Jackson. He is more than intrigued and ready to do whatever it takes…

“I want this woman. I’m the type of guy who will fight for what he wants until he gets it. I will take my time with Amy. I won’t rush her. I will continue to slowly slide myself into her life until she realizes that I belong there. And then…I won’t let her go.”

This is Book Two in The Infamous Series.

                 My Thoughts :

Another book from my fave "smut-zy" Ahhhhh-mazing  ( yes! Sounds fabulous huh!) author, N.A. Alcorn means I have to do the following:

1. Send my early warning to the waaaay adult readers before opening this book! Serious profanity ahead!! Yes! Like be very ready to come face to face with the synonyms of the ...uhmmm, well... Shall I use the anatomical terms with these part of the reproductive system?! Or the more ...more..blatant...obscene.. ( and widely used?! Hah!) and way interesting C@nt and D@ck?! Oooohhhh... You choose the latter ,huh?  Meeeee tooooo! Haha!

2. Inform you , lovely bookworms that  like the first book "The Infamous Ellen James" ( ooops! You gotta read this first! ), you will still experience pee-ing in your pants...and possibly let loose a series of traitorous fart-to-rathon along the way?! Shocker?! Yes, because you'll laugh harder ! Seriously. So, take my advice: read this book on the confines of your locked room...and don't forget to consider enough ventilation. Why? One word: "Fart-to-rathon" which could lead to carbon  monoxide poisoning?! Tee hee!

3. Whereas, a cup of coffee or tea is the perfect companion for reading, I strongly forbid it! Why? You don't want that scalding water poured accidentally on your.....???! Your lap! Not your ____?!You, wicked, wicked thing! Haha! Or worst , have the beverage of your choice spluttering out from your body orifices, like your nose?!! ( Pray that it's not from your other orifices?! hehe! ) ...and why is so? Because....again, you'll laugh, you'll chuckle, snort in the most importune times!

4. And lastly, before I get carried away with these numbering system?! What the heck?! Numbering system?! Seriously?!  I am not even the most organized person on earth?! This is soooo weird?! ....Okay..Okay....I have to start making a review! Now!

I  super loved this book as much as The Infamous Ellen James.  There was never a single dull  moment as I read  this one. The fun -filled pages are totally engrossing. I wouldn't be surprised  because I know Ms. Alcorn can totally write  / create  characters that are uniquely capable  to sneak inside her readers.... and discover their own funny bones! The characters, oh the characters were really something!

Meet  Amy Lucille Jackson. ER nurse ...or should I say, another "infamous" ER nurse from Charlotte. She is one you wouldn't want to think of messing around, unless you want to die a slow and agonizing death by verbal assault! Yes! this lady can literally slice you with her..sexual exploitatives!  Amy also thinks she is a selfish b@tch? Thus , evidence with  the constant hook ups / one night stands ...always to pleasure herself, and that was it. No relationship ever. She prides herself having that "golden snatch" ( My term! haha! ) ...that no man.. or to write it crudely, NO PENIS could EVER resist! ( Uh-uh! Is this "P"-word acceptable?! Am I in trouble?! ). Okay, I'll use the author's wonderful term : Vaginal Hubris?! Aww! Now. I. Am. In. Trouble! haha. Amy must be pretty hot , I assumed. So, she must at least be looking like this?

As a friend, Amy is the most loyal, funny ,  fierce friend you can ever have. She'll fight for you to death. And I've seen it with her relationship with Ellen and Lizzy. Between being bitchy and wonderful? I think she was more than wonderful... the problem was, she  was not even aware and most of the time in denial.

Meet Dr. James Williams. The hottest Orthopedic surgeon . Who happens to be an ex-marine?! *fans myself! * When I say hottest, I mean scourging hot...like one look from his emerald peepers , your panties.... poof! Yeah! Just like that M-E-L-T-S! Of course, no guy with an  impressive ____?! ( fill in the blank, ladies! ) escapes Amy's roaring ____?! ( again, fill in the blank! ) ...most specially one, drunken, overly horny Amy! Gosh, she literally jumped and throw herself all over Dr James?! Sans her clothes?! Easy , tigress! haha. If Dr. James would be looking like this? Then, I'll bringing on my inner tigress in an instant! haha.

Amy Jackson all naked in her glorious self... what would a normal , virile and oh-so-capable guy would do? Of course, dive into that chance head -on ! ( dive?! Why all of a sudden it sounds perverted?! Haha! )   But what did Dr. James do ? He let the opportunity passed! Instead , he tucked the drunken...and now really, really pissed Amy  to bed?! Shocker! Oh, he is still a normal, virile, oh-so-capable guy... plus...yes! he earned another name: Dr. Limp Dick! Take that from Amy's super pissed off "V"?! Take note : Vaginal Hubris?!  ( like a narcissistic hoo-hah?! who happens to have an oversized ego?! ).  Amy swore she'll NEVAH EVAH want to do anything  with James  no matter how tempting he was! Believe me, he is deliciously , devastatingly tempting! Green eyes. Pearly white teeth. Hidden dimples?! ( those should be illegal! Seriously!!!)  The well sculpted body?!  ( an ex- marine, ladies!!!)  Plus a bonus: A soup - can _____?!!! per Amy's keen observation ?!  Oh. My . Goodness! It means James has a super sized  ____?!!

But  Dr. James has his game plan. He needs a  foul-proof , calculated strategy to  be inside Amy's life and not only  her one time hook-up. First things first. Offer his " non sexual "friendship.  Oh, easier said than done. Did I mentioned that Amy is super stubborn?!  So, good luck Dr. James! Iraq was easier to manage than the raging Amy! Haha.

So, the quest of winning Amy's heart ? Bring it on! Ohhhh! I just love James' ways! He was patient, all kinds of awesome ...and made it his mantra to be a permanent fixture in Amy's life. No matter how thick , how high Amy's guarded wall, he still manage to get in.  What he did for Amy ? Totally heart melting ! Love, love Dr. James even more!

“Your only flaw is that you’re flawless. In my eyes, you’re flawless.”
His words steal my breath.
They scorch me, taking every last ounce of fear in their wake. My vulnerability is shining through my every pore, and for once in my life, I don’t care. I want to be exposed for him. I want James to see me for exactly who I am.
“Take me. Take me, James. Fucking take me right now.”

I have a lot of favorite moments in the entire book. I am really, really tempted to spill but NO Spoilers! So, to make it spoiler free  I'll  say it in the broadest words possible. Again, the numbering system:

1. Dr. Simon and his inappropriate  Tourette's ?! ( Think : Big ball sacs ..Trojan man tits?! Ahhhh..the possibilities are endless! )
2. Duck Dynasty?!  ( Oh my! I could not imagine that to be soooo funny! ) Btw, I love that show!
3. James saber-tooth admirer!  Oh my awkward, funny and I had a blast!
4. The "sock"  ( Particularly James' sock?!) Oh my gawd! I was in tears and about to roll on the floor! HILARIOUS!

Ahhhhh... I know, curious enough, are we???? One way to find out is to go grab this book ASAP! Promise, you'll laugh like you never laugh before!

The ending? One word : Oooooorah!!!!   I love...LOVE it!!!! Thank you, thank you, Ms. Alcorn!  And by the way, I'll be looking forward for the next book! ( and it's Lizzy's story?! Fabulous! )

I  think this song fits Amy to a tee!
"Paris" ( Oh la la )  by Grace Potter

              I'm giving this book :
        5 Ahhhhh-mazing Oooorah! Stars!

My Review : Into the Deep by Samantha Young

Into the Deep (Into the Deep, #1)
From Goodreads:
Charley Redford was just an ordinary girl until Jake Caplin moved to her small town in Indiana and convinced her she was extraordinary. Almost from day one Jake pulled Charley into the deep and promised he was right there with her. But when a tragic incident darkened Jake’s life he waded out into the shallows and left Charley behind.

Almost four years later Charley thinks she’s moved on. That is until she takes a study year abroad in Edinburgh and bumps into none other than Jake Caplin at a party with his new girlfriend. The bad-boy-turned-good attempts to convince Charley to forgive him, and as her best friend starts spending time with Jake’s, Charley calls a truce, only to find herself tumbling back into a friendship with him.

As they grow closer, the spark between them flares and begins playing havoc with their lives and relationships. When jealousy and longing rear their destructive heads, Charley and Jake struggle to come to grips with what they mean to one another.

                           My Thoughts:

Have you ever  felt giddy-excited even before actually reading a book? That butterfly in the stomach kind of feeling  and you were already grinning  at the mere thought of it? Yes, it was a strange feeling... and yes! That's what I felt the moment I got hold of this book!

I only read two books from  Ms. Samantha Young but I can , without a doubt , say it with all my heart...and soul.. that she will be on my list of favorite authors EVER! I wish I can describe eloquently what it is in her stories that keep me captivated, spellbound and totally amazed....but I am short for words. I really am. The closest word I could think of : WOW! Yes, Ms. Young, you are ...WOW!!

I just love how she wrote this one. Everything is so seamless and words are just free flowing. I love how my whole attention was grabbed even at the beginning...and was bombarded by this single question : "What the hell happened to both Charley and Jake?" . ....and I got my answers as the flashbacks came gradually. By the way, I loved it! The alternate Now and Then  per chapter?  Just Brilliant! I am hooked!

What Charley and Jake had was extraordinary. It was intense, all consuming  and  feels-like forever kind of love...and to think  they are only sixteen? Yes, so young and sooooo in love. Everything went fast and for only a  couple of months ...they are completely "into the deep" with each other. Well, I think that was first love should feel like?!  Boy, to relive that feeling over again? I felt goosebumps! I was sighing and looking above me for..perhaps , flying hearts?? Haha.  Memory lane? Loved those moments. Ms . Young captured the whole feeling. I felt it !Again, Brilliant!

Until that one tragic incident, everything went downhill for both of them. Charley, being the "super girl" wants to save their  relationship...but Jake shut her down entirely and moved away. I know right? How could he???!!

Now both grown up and trying to move on...fate must have brought these two together... In Edinburgh, Scotland. Oh! One thing to love about Ms. Samantha's book...the setting!! I swear, I once thought that Paris was the number one place to fall in love! ....but, well, well, I changed my mind ! Edinburgh, it is! Definitely! I even googled it ( yes! Seriously!) ...oh my! Look at that?! Magical! *adding this place  to my bucketlist of places to visit!*

Well, meeting your ex , the one who just left you without a valid explaination? ...was all shades of awkward! I was, "what the hell?!!" Crap!  . Oh, Charley? Never been sooo ackward in her life until she bumped in with Jake Caplin! But, wait?! Why does Jake's familiarity goes inside her nerves?! He hurt  her ...but why does she felt this longing? Ahhrrrrrrghhhhhh!! "First love never dies" might be true?!  Ooops! I want to add : Jake ...finally got himself a girlfriend! ...and she was really nice! What's my reaction? Double crap.  Ahhhhhrrrrrghhh!!! ( take note: I'll be using a lot of this on my entire review! Hah!) It would be easier and wise to avoid him? Pfffft! Easier said than done. You tell me , how to avoid, when you are , inside a circle of same friends?!!!  Plus, Jake seems ....no, more likely want to be closer to Charley?! Becoming her friend?! Seriously?!! Arrrrrrgggghhhh! Awkward . Crap.
I have a lot of feels as I move along. This is tooooo much to take! This...this Charley-Jake thing?! ...is seriously giving me a headache! ....did I raise my hands in surrender? No, I could not stop! I feel bad bad for the new girlfriend, but I am really rooting for Jake and Charley this time. Nothing personal, Melissa dear, I know Jake means something to you....but what Jake and Charley had? A love like no other. A love worth fighting for. So, another  series of questions were raised. Can Jake win back Charley's heart? Would Charley accept Jake back into her life? I could hope. We can all hope. What happens next? ....You got to read it yourself.  It's Swoony, angsty  and  everything in between. I love, love it!

I also love the secondary characters. Claudia and Beck? I know these two have really interesting stories to tell. I love the "angsty" chemistry between them. So, I am looking forward  to read more about them, maybe on Ms. Young's upcoming sequels? *crossing my fingers*.

The ending? I keep re-reading it over and over again? Have I missed something really important? ..wait, wait..wait??? Was that really the ending??? Arrrrrrrghhhh!!! No way! No way that I have to wait till the sequel to know what will happen to Jake and Charley?! Sigh. I guess I really have no choice here. *sad face* Really, really waiting for the next book.

            I'm giving this book:

        4 Arrrrrgh -worthy stars!
